Meet Rebecca

Experienced Nonprofit Leader. Consultant. Teacher. Traveler. Speaker.

Rebecca J. Zanatta brings more than 24 years of experience building and stewarding strategic donor partnerships and has worked with over 150+ clients in her nearly 13-year consulting career. She has served in high-level development roles for organizations like the Pacific Science Center and the Washington State University Foundation. Rebecca has a deep understanding of everything from the planning, building, and managing a diverse and successful major gift and capital campaign to implementing a realistic and focused strategic plan.

 

Rebecca graduated from Washington State University with a BA in organizational communication and holds a M.Ed. in higher education administration from the University of Idaho. She completed her Certificate in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) from the Indiana University School of Philanthropy.

 

Participating in community is an important value of Rebecca’s work. She is a past President of Northwest Development Officers Association (NDOA), now AFP – Advancement Northwest, the largest professional association of fundraisers in Washington State. Rebecca former Adjunct Faculty at Seattle University in the Master in Nonprofit Leadership program. She is a graduate of the Leadership Tomorrow program in Seattle, serves on the WSU Foundation and Alpha Phi Foundation Board of Directors and is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Seattle.


Rebecca works with clients all over the world and resides in Walla Walla, WA, recently listed as a new Blue Zone community. She loves to travel and has visited over 47 countries on 5 continents. When not working to make the world a better place you will find her spending time with her friends and family, tasting wine, and planning the next great travel adventure.
